Ruby Rings

A ruby ring does not need an occasion. Red is the colour that reads from furthest away, and at 9 on the Mohs scale the stone takes daily wear as well as a sapphire does.

You choose the stone size, the setting, the metal and the width of the band here, and see the ring before it is made.

Ruby as an everyday stone

Ruby and sapphire are the same mineral; only the red one gets the name ruby. That shared hardness is why a ruby works in a ring you wear rather than one you keep in a box. Inclusions are normal and do not affect how the stone holds up.

Yellow gold runs with the colour and makes the ring read warm throughout. White gold and platinum set the red against a cool surround so the stone stands out. A row of small diamonds alongside adds the light that the ruby itself does not return.

Made to order

Every ring is made to order in a German goldsmith's workshop and the stone is set by hand. The engraving on the inside is free and delivery is free.
